Below is a Public Notice from the City of Kalamazoo regarding upcoming work on Thompson Street:

Thompson Street Curb & Gutter Repairs
Starting August 14th, the City of Kalamazoo will be completing street work on Thompson St between Academy St and Main St. Work will involve curb & gutter removal, replacement, and brick pavement restoration.
Once completed, this work will enable full use of the street section and maintain important access for Kalamazoo College and the local community for years to come. Project completion is expected by mid-September.
During construction, on-street parking will be limited or, at times, prohibited to enable the street work to take place. Roadway and green areas will be restored following the construction work. Temporary closures and delays are to be expected during construction activities.
